The Eixample district was created by the important architect in Barcelona called Ildelfons Cerdà. He had the objective to expand the city. It is one of the best areas to live in Barcelona.

Inside the district you can find different neighborhoods like Fort Pienc, Sagrada Familia, Derecha del Eixample, Izquierda de Eixample and Sant Antoni. There are the most famous modernist buildings.
